Why can't I make love to my spouse like I use to do before I got diabetes?
Why is the plumbing not working?

I'm not a man, but men are not the only ones that have the problem. And unlike men I don't know of anything that will help us, prescription or over the counter. So don't feel bad it's not your fault. I hope someday they come up with something for woman too.

Hey Trudie! The actress Suzanne Somers says she has used testosterone patches and creams for years and has the sex drive of a teenager! An alternative Dr wrote me a prescription for the cream (to be rubbed on the belly) back in '08 but I never filled it! :( It was for regulation of my period and I decided to seek out other methods, mostly because I was a little afraid of the cream-hormones are nothing to mess with. This sounds like the best thing we women have for sexual desire enhancement. :)

I have to agree with jayee52 on this. Go get your T&A tested. There is help available out there and with the right doctor your love life can be reinstated.

ED is a real Kick in the pants!

I also have problems in that area. My groin tingles due to diabetic neuropathy. But my new bride was great about it. She was happy when I manually tried to help her feel good. She was also diabetic and couldn't bring herself to the "Big O" (& am not referring to a popular talk show host) as she also had diabetic neuropathy in her groin area. But we did what we could to show one another our love, and it was good enough for us.

My Jem has passed from this life now, so it is really a moot point at this time in my life, but should I get involved with another lady friend, and our relationship turns that way for us, you can be sure I will get an endo to test my Testosterone and Andosterone levels, and if low, to bring them up. I had not been aware of what Harlen shared until I had been on DC for a while. I was thinking of getting tested when Jem passed.

I've tried viagra and cialis. Nothing worked. So I'm thinking of testing if and when things heat up in the romance department. I'd rather not take drugs like that when they wouldn't be all that useful to maintain my health. Anybody who knows me knows I take a lot of medications, so if I don't absolutely need it, I'd rather not take it until I do. Perhaps once my Test. and Andro. levels are up, maybe then the viagra like meds might work.

I pray your spouse is understanding about your problem. I was starting to have problems with ED just as my first marriage was ending. She did NOT understand, which in part lead to problems which lead to the divorce.

Praying God's richest blessings to you and yours

go to your Endo and have them do a tostosterone test
With D your T can drop by 99% if it dose then it will not work .
Hope this helps
Best wishes

Hi. I hear this could be a side effect with men. This is not the first time I've heard of this complaint. Id speak with my doctor and see if cialais or viagria might be a good option for you?? If your insurance won't cover it contact the pharmacudical company that makes it and ask for a discount card or patient help program. A lot of compaies offer this service to help out people who are not covered buy insurance. I believe the insurance companies consider these drugs un necessary and usually won't cover so make sure and call the company. They usually can help with a good savings. I wish you the best and I'm sorry your having these side effects. Look on the bright side at least now days they do have help for it and you won't be left to suffer! Id speak to my doctor, I think it will of great help! Best wishes.

Thank you, and you are right most insurance companies will not allow to cover this type of drug. I will try and contact the company that makes the drug. I feel bad because of my age and I have to use something to make myself hard.

Don't be ashamed of your self! This is NOT YOUR FAULT! Please don't be so rough on your self! Sometimes we just got to roll with the punches , in life! We have to do what we have to do. Diabetes sucks! But we gotta make the best of it I guess… have a great day! God bless!
