I found a great website that you should all check out. No I am not promoting anything, nor am I spamming. This site does not sell anything, but instead is a tool to help you find the healthiest everyday products that we use like shampoos, toothpastes, m

The website is called cosmeticdatabase.com, and I highly recommend that you all check it out. My mother was diagnosed with cervix cancer, and just had a radical hysterectomy, so she found that site to make healthier changes in her life, and now my wife and I use this site whenever we are looking for a healthier product. The rating system is a scale of 0-10 with 0 being no toxicity, and 10 being a major health concern. Many of the name brands are high toxicity including those really expensive items that you think would be better for you than the cheaper stuff, but it is not. The one problem with the healthier stuff is that it is hard to find in stores and can be expensive. I have found a few healthy products at Target, but most of the others I just order online. I do have to say that I have noticed positive changes in my children just weeks after having switched many of our products that were high on the toxicity scale to healthier products with 0's. We definitely have less temper tantrums from our 3 year old, so my guess is that it has to be the change in our products, as that has been the only changes we have had period.

Our next step is to start eating more organic foods. Organic fruits and veges, and some drinks are pretty easy to find, but does anyone know of any healthy organic brands that actually sell food that taste good? So far most of the organic things we have tried have been so bland and just plain awful. I definitely have been snacking less as I really have no interest in having that one extra bite…hmm, maybe organic food is the cure to over eating. Who wants to eat more cardboard? Not me.

Yep. I absolutely love the info, although it really will drive you nuts when you see all the crap that is completely horrible for all of us. The cool thing about the info there is that it tells you the problems associated with the products, and even tells you the bodily risks associated like cancers, and a few other issues. Very good site, at least in my opinion.

Howdy Chad!

Thanks for the site suggestion. I will have to look this up!

So long as you are not posting here with intent to make money from something you are selling, that is fine and is within the Terms of use. No need to be apologetic for sharing this information.

I tried to find it just now, and I got a "Error 503 Service Unavailable" message.

Was it cosmeticdatabase.com, or cosmeticsdatabast.com? I searched both ways and got junk returns from the first and the 503 message from the 2nd.

I am getting the same error now, too. I hope they are just updating the site. I was just on it last night, so they must be doing some updating or something. I will have to try it again tomorrow.

Nope. I work for the railroad and have no affiliation with any products or any websites. Basically my mother got me into this health kick thing since she was diagnosed with cancer.

The changing of our daily products like soaps and toothpastes was easy, but the part I am struggling on is trying to find some healthy and delicious organic foods.
