I have lost so far a total of 7 lbs using the Just Dance 2 game on the Nintendo Wii and I am very grateful for the supportive feedback that I am receiving here on DC. I have also purchased another game from the Just Dance series called simply Just Dance. Since starting both the Just Dance & Just Dance 2 game, I have felt even happier and healthier than before- I still have a lot of work to be done, but I know that I can do it because I love myself and what I have achieved thus far. My fiance is especially proud that I have lost so much weight- already he is able to wrap his arms around me and before he was not able to do that! I have yet to try Zumba but it does look like fun and I want to thank my friends for their encouragement and inspiration for me to try it! I am eating more fruits and vegetables now- although oranges are one of my favorite fruits, I have to be careful because they have a lot of sugar in them even though it is just natural sugar. But another important fact that I learned about oranges is that they naturally clean your breath, plus they're a good source of Vitamin C as well!! More updates will be posted later on- for now I am very proud of what I have accomplished so far and I hope to continue on with my gradual but promising success. My current weight should be 150 lbs which means that I am 89 lbs overweight. But with a gradual weight loss, a steady flow of 45-60 minutes of exercise 3-5 times/week, a balanced diet, taking my meds as prescribed, seeing my doctor regularly for my diabetes, keeping a healthy sound mind and body, drinking plenty of water and having the immensely appreciative and encouraging support from my fiance & my friends here @ Diabetic Connect, I can be able to achieve my goal and make my life worth living for- but today I do have so much to live for. It also doesn't hurt to treat yourself here and there- my favorite indulgences are dark chocolate, lemon or green tea with lemon juice and a touch of honey, and graham crackers with peanut butter and bananas in between, served with an ice cold glass of 1% milk! Thank you for all of your constant support and to all my friends here @ Diabetic Connect- have a safe happy and blessed day!

Thank you to all of my friends for the ever increasing emotional support in regards to my weight loss; although I've been on a rollercoaster lately with my weight fluctuating up and down, I'm happy to report that I've lost 6.8 lbs since that incident- I found out the exact amount of weight lost when I went to my doctor's early this morning for my very 1st check up after so many months! I can't begin to count how much I've actually lost because I've literally lost count, but I feel great knowing that the scale reads lower and I'm just one step closer to conquering my Type 2 diabetes :) !

I always loved to dance. Then I stepped in a deep hole and my knee came out of it's socket. Now I either fall because my knee slips out of place or I just look real silly trying to be careful. Good luck on dancing though, It is good exercise. ( Maybe I should just dance at home alone. LOL)

Just Dance 2 is pretty good, however I've got Dance Central and Michael Jackson The Experience for the XBox 360 Kinect…let me tell you THAT program will make you burn some calories :)

I hear that P90X is amazing for weight loss too. I've got literally 7 friends who have dropped 75+ lbs doing it.

I need to do that. I use to walk and then I got planitis fascitis. Went from 226 to 209 and now back to 226. I hate this. Congrads to you!

Way to go. I am at 250, heading to 180-190. It is a tough road at 57. Knees, hip, and back not always in alignment. I have been dropping dead trees on our property, cutting them into firewood, loading them onto my pick up or wheelbarrow, and dumping them in the to be split pile after they sit for about 3 months. That and being more careful with my carbs has help me with the first 15 pounds. Now I am stuck, but I am sure it will start to drop again. I got plenty more trees to drop, cut and split. For the real body toning experience, I can provide a maul for hand splitting instead of using the old log splitter! There is a limit, so sign up now!
By the way, bananas, even 1/2 send my BS up 150 points or more.
