I was asked by Bo to let people know the reason she has been away receintly. She has a fractured hip and is spending most of the day in bed. She is getting around with the help of a walker and pain medication in essential, brief required sessions :)

Hopefully, she will be feeling well enough to stop in the say hi more often soon.

If you would like to send her some love and well wishes please do ,thanks..

Hey "Squog"! Thanks for the new report on your recovery…
Were you scrambling your eegs or just miss-typed them??? My Nephew, when he was a boy called them eggies. Whatever you call them, I'm thrilled you were able to be up and around long enough to fix 'em! You sound MUCH better than last week. And thanks, Anita, for letting our family here know where Bo has been. I've been running for two weeks and it got by me to post it, so I'm really glad you did. Hugs "Squog"

If I scrambled my eggs it was on line. I fried them at the stove. I decided it would take too long & I'd start hurting before they were cooked if I made scrambled eggs. Although next time I'll scramble them at the table, pass them through the "TV window" as my brother Dan calls it, & then cook them. My niece use to call fried eggs "dippy eggs" cause she dipped her toast in the yolks.

Hey, thanks Newbie! Welcome to the neighborhood. I've been called a pain before. I grew up w/3 older brothers. LOL

Well, been sitting up a while waiting for a med delivery. She just left so back to bed before the pain gets bad.

The pain started back in early-mid Apr. Ended up in the Hosp for 8 days where a bonescan finally found the stress frature inside the right side of my pelvis. On strong pain med so I can tolerate sitting, standing, & walking w/ a walker for short periods of time.

Been listening to my beloved Phillies., reading & istening to books on CDs. TV is in the other bedroom. Bed was a little high for me but then I switched mattresses so I had the firmer one on my bed. doing this made the 2nd bed a good height. And my own bed slightly higher but OK. I bought a kid size frame when I moved back in after the fire, due to my height of 4'11". There's no firmness rating on the kids' mattress. The matress height diff was 2".

I think I rounded 1st base this past weekend though. getting out of bed was a little easier. And I was able to walk a little longer before pain started to bother me. I was able to stay on my feet long enough to make a couple of fried eegs. And I finally watched some of the game.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Starting to hurt so it's back to bed w/me.

I agree take it slow, sooner than you know it you will be healed. And you still have to watch those Phillies win, don't you.

Wow! Talk about the Phillies winning! 2 wins less than 15 hrs apart. Wed's win went 19 innings with utility infielder Wilson Valdez moving from 2nd base to the mound to became the winning pitcher. Then Thurs pitcher Cliff Lee hit a 2 run double that almost was a grand slam! Go Phillies, Go Phillies, Go Phillies, Go Phillies!

However my favorite player right now is Michael Martinez. That was my oldest brother's name.
