Howdy Hajegranz!
I note your discussion title states you have Gastroparesis. Yet from the IBS and the stomach ulcers (bleeding?) it would seem that you may not have that. Who told you that you have gastroparesis? Was it diagnosed by a medical professional? Upon what tests was that Dx based?

Here's amulti page article from Mayo clinic on Gastroparesis:

Information on Bentyl from Mayo is here:

You may want to check with one of DC's sister sites IBS connect. Go to black band on top of page and click "Visit another community", then select IBS and use your DC login information to be admitted. They should be able to give you tips to help you with your IBS.

I also have IBS "A" which alternates between "C" constipation and "D" diaharrea.
I control my IBS through the use of Metamucil. But according to the Mayo article on gastroparesis, the use of fiber seems to be counterindicated, if it is indeed Gastro.

So ask your question also on IBS connect. I'll see you there

Praying your digestive problems get straightened out.

Yes…I was diagnosed while I was in the hospital 2 years ago…I have been back and forth to doctor's and haven't found one yet to help the issue…They have even talked about removing my stomach…No sir…not ready for that yet…

Wow, removing your stomach? That's pretty drastic!

Was the gastroparesis caused by Diabetes, or some other cause?

I don't blame you for not doing that.

Have you gotten 2nd opinions on the Dx and how to deal with it?
