I like beer, scotch and wine. Safe is relative though, you should discuss it with your doctor so you know how your body might react and how to handle it.

Hi. I just stay away from the alcohol. It contains sugar and its not good for diabetics. I also take insulin. Be careful if you do decide to drink because it can run up your sugars and be dangerous. Welcome to DC. I hope to see future posts from you! This is a great place to ask questions and get honest opnions! Have a great day! .:)

Howdy Dprolux, and WELCOME to DC!

Drinking Alcohol has been discussed much in DC. Here's a search of DC discussions which have the word alcohol in it: http://www.diabeticconnect.com/discussions?qu... Sorry the list is mixed between the alcohol one drinks, and that which one uses to wipe one's fingers, and also "sugar alcohols" which are sweeteners used in many candies and baked goods.

So you'll need to sort those out. But the drinking of alcohol has been discussed a lot over the years here on DC. Happy hunting!

I have invited you to be my friend. Please do me the kindness of accepting it.

Blessings to you and yours!

James
