Conclusion from my first discussion, I have attended my diabetic class it was for two sessions beginning at 3pm ending at 9pm. I was told many things I was not aware of, for instance; when given the insulin injection you are to squirt 1 unit out befor giving your injection of insulin, and before pulling the needle out of your arm your supose to count to 10. I have a diet given to me by the Nutritionist of 1400 calories with low carb's along with nutrition, protien, and low fat…I have to say, the diet IS WORKING! I use to get blood glucose readings of over 280, with the diet my readings are superb, being in a diet and eating small portion really does work, as long as your following the guide lines. So my dear friends if you are able to eat in small portions the the right foods with the right diet your blood glucose will be cotrolled. Oh my blood reading this morning was 88, and I use to have it over 200…THIS IS IDEAL!!! God Bless you all…

Congrats!! yes I can attest to the fact, that if you eat right, exercise, and eat not big meals, especially until you lose enough weight, eat about every 2 hours, or 3, throughout the day, like a handful of nuts here, a nutritious 15 carb bar there, or whole wheat crackers with peanut butter, things like that, just never get real hungry, and drink lots of water, you will lose weight. I lost weight fast, but not too fast, 2 lbs. a week most weeks, and after three months, it was gone. I might eat a serving (3/4C or 1 C) of high fiber cereal for a snack too, especially before eating a small piece of fruit, so the sugars would not spike up so much. Always eat fiber and protein, don't just look at the carbs. I get more whole grains in my diet than anything and have kept it all off for over two years now.
God bless everyone

Congrats, I have my first nutritionist meeting tomorrow, with two other classes to follow. Can't wait to learn even more about helping myself be the best I can be!

Take care!

The classes are awsome, we just need to follow diets and stay negative, remember it's up to us, not the doctor, or nutritionist, "it's up to us" to stay healthy, they give us the info and we just need to follow them…lots of luck, keep in touch.
