I checked my feet every night before bed, put lotion on them twice a day (after showering in the morning and before I go to sleep at night.) Yet, I can't seem to get rid of the dry skin on the bottom of my heel and side of my big toe. It doesn't hurt, but I don't want it peeling and risk getting dirt or something in it. What are some good dry skin lotions for feet? Currently I use baby lotion and Burt's Bees coconut foot cream. They work okay, but I'm not really seeing long term results.

Thanks! :D

I now use Diabeti-Derm, heel & toe cream and it has does wonders for me. I have had dry heals forever but this really does the trick. It goes deep and does not surface on the skin and it feels soooo good. I also agree that God Bond has a good product for dry skin also.

Hi Melissa, I use curel for sensitive skin, it works so much better for me than any of the foot creams out there, trust me I've tried my fare share of those too. Makes your skin so soft and smooth to the touch.

do you exfoliate your feet? I try to do that once or twice a week. I love Avon's Footworks line. I also have heard about Gold Bond being good. I use footworks callus cream, deep moisture cream daily, and sometimes the serum, and I like to apply a foot mask to the bottom of my feet. In class, I learned it is okay to use a pumice stone, gently, but nothing sharp on the feet. I also have slightly cracked heels, and have for years, years before I was diagnosed. I went to the dermatologist earler this year, told them what all I do, and how I take such good care of my feet and asked if there was anything that would actually get rid of the cracked heels, and they told me no. I was surprised. However, the products I have listed can help a lot, making them appear much better and feel so much softer. I like a brown sugar body scrub that I use also at times, to removed the dead skin. hope you find something that helps a lot.

The best product I have come across is Gormel Creme. I got it from my podiatrist and my left foot was in really bad shape. This is a great product, it even softened my hands just by rubbing it on my feet.

My foot doc told me to use eucerin lotion for my dry feet and it really works wonders. He told me to put it on at nite and the to put socks on or to wrap my feet in saran wrap so it can soak in. You can get it a walmart in the diabetic section along with your strips.

I don't know about lotions but I will tell you that the product called HeelTastic (Walgreens and others) is a phenomenal stick like item that works great on heels and elbows!!!
