I'm a 57yo T1 diagnosed 22 years ago. I'm fairly active as I teach skiing in Vail and hike often in the summer. I'm training to go on a long hike on the Colorado Trail in July. I'll be hiking up to 18 miles/day for 5 days. I'm concerned about low bs at 2 times of day. I often will be low in the morning when I've hiked for an hour. I also don't want to go low in the night. My MD suggested eating a spoon full of peanut butter at bedtime. Any other suggestions out there?
