Kats, please get to your Dr. Perhaps have your Dr refer you to a Gastroenterologist. As diabetes is not a one-size-fits-all condition, you could be experiencing GERD (look it up in Google) OR delayed gastric emptying, which can mess with your BG#s, or any other digestive peoblem. OCCASIONAL heartburn is not something to worry much about. But heartburn which occurs with regularity, needs to be looked at by a Gastro Dr soon! If you delay you may destroy your esophagus, and be in a world of hurt.

I pray it is easily remedied, and no damage has been done

Blessings to you and yours

I use to get heartburn before I was diagnosed, now, I wonder if it had to do with high bg #'s…from my observation, I would say yes. Because now that I have bg #'s under control, I do not have this problem..

I agree with MewElla. Except for the time my bone density med. had to be changed to Boniva. Now as long as my BS stays under control I don't have a problem either.
