Hi all I hope that everyone is have a great day, The weather here in chicago have been hot and humid, I am enjoying this weather. I just want to know if the hot weather affects your diabetes. I know that some of us tend to not drink lots of fluids or eat right when the weather is hot. To make myself drink plenty of fluids I fill a water bottle with water and add crystal light to it. I try to drink 2 or 3 bottles a day.
Have a good day and lots of internet hugs to you.

I tend to swell in the hot summer months. Extreme tingling and my thirst level is off the chain, too. I will increase my water intake and see what happens. Diagnoised 1999.

I Haven't notice a difference in my BS whether its hot or not. Now if it is going to get cold or rain, I will feel it in my joints. the summer I do drink extra water. I don't have the humidity, but it can get awfully dry here, with temperatures up to 110. I live south of Las Vegas.

You are so right about the hot weather. I love Crystal Light, but I also realize it is not water, so I drink 1 equal amount of water for each crystal light. In winchester, VA it has been a beautiful. Not oppressively hot yet, but those days are a'coming.

I live in Florida and hot is the word here too. Heat can raise your levels a bit, and many members have said that summer numbers tend to run high. You are right though, drink a lot of water. Keep it in your hand all the time. For me, I never had an issue with not wanting to eat, but this summer it seems that I am having a hard time getting food in earlier in the day. It is often nearly noon now before I am eating breakfast so that is not good. I get up and get busy and forget to eat. Then by the afternoon I feel to hot to mess with much. Good thing I like salads.

It's hot and humid in some parts of South Carolina, and I don't eat 1st thing after I get up. It takes me a bit.
