As the tittle says, I have good news today. I am part of the VA healthcare system, and I saw my doctors today.
I just had my gall bladder removed and while I am still recovering from the surgery done three weeks ago, I had what has to be the best overall checkup I have had in almost three years.
My blood sugar was good, VERY good. My a1c was 7.2, the best it has been in at least a coule of years. I've taken off about ten pounds so far, hoping to keep it up until I reach my goal.
I have had problems with very little stamina (getting tired very easy) and while I find that I am still weak from the surgery, my stammina is improving, and may in fact get back up to what is was when I was 49 and able to work a construction job digging ditches alongside guys in their 20's and 30's. (I am presantly 52) Aparently, that gal bladder of mine has been going bad for a while, and now that it is gone, my body should go back to "normal".
Any inputs from others is appreciated for continued success.
Vod bless and have a good one.
