I'm 18, soon to be 19. I work two part-time jobs, averaging around 40 hours per week. The only insurance that would cover me costs $500 per month, because my type 1 diabetes is a pre-existing condition. Any advice??

Hey
Try contacting the manufacters of your pump supplies and insulin, they may send coupons or discount the price. Also if there is a diabetes clinic in your area contact them to see if they have donated supplies they can give you, I live in the Boston MA area and i know Joslin Clinic does this. I'm not sure what state you live in, but some state based insurances will give you coverage being diabetic and base the cost off your income or give it to you at no cost. Hope this helps. Best wishes and great job at still taking care of yourself when at times it can be so difficult.
