It's about time to get my 3 month blood work done but I haven't made an appointment because I'm sick of trying to find a real doctor.
If I'm going to live my life wondering if all kinds if damage is going on inside my body why keep going tj these doctors that dont seem to care or know what to do.

Sooooo frustrated!!!!!!!!!!

It is difficult to find the right doctor because although I think in a lot of cases they mean right, they are not always diabetics themselves to know what we go through. I am content with my primary doctor who just happens to be an endocrinologist but I don't know that he's really said or done much to help me with the education that diabetics should get. I wasn't even told that I should get a meter. I was told to lay off the sugar but not much else about nutrition. I was told to lose weight (5-10 pounds) but not told how. Mainly I was not told about websites like this one which has helped change my life. I would think word of mouth is the best way to find a genuinely caring doctor so ask around for referrals in your circle of family and friends. Don't let not having the perfect doctor stop you from at least getting some medical attention. There are times that conditions in their earlier stages are better to work with than as the conditions progress. Take a stand on your own care. Don't give up the battle without a fight.
