How many of us make a resolution to either lose weight, travel the path of a healthier diet, or be more consistent in our daily diabetic routine?

I have tried the New Year's resolution thing. DIDN'T get the t-shirt (LoL!)

But I noticed something about my BG#s and my weight about a month or 2 ago. I ran out of insulin, and If I took very strict control of my food and drink intake, I could skip my insulin, and control it with my eating plans alone.

At the same time, I noticed that really, according to what my bride "Jem" took for insulin and her mother took for insulin when they were alive, my insulin dosage was tiny. So my pancreas must be putting out enough insulin to carry what little I eat. And I usually drink water or almond milk, and metamucil for fiber.

My BG#s have been running 88 to 119 now for 3 weeks. The only time it was above those numbers was when I fell off the wagon, and ate some things I shouldn't have and I zoomed to 219. (I did take some insulin for that.) But once under control, I went back to that same range, without insulin.

I'm now trying to keep this going for as long as I can.
