When I attended my classes, they told us we could sub Splenda(etc) for sugar in dessert recipes but they didn't tell us how to determine what the new carb count would be (if one was given) or how to figure out what the carb count is for a recipe that doesn't give you one. Does anyone now how to figure out the carb count numbers for a recipe that you modify or make up yourself?

There are several weight loss diet websites where you can input the ingredients into the computer and it will break it all down by fats, proteins, carbs, sugar, fiber and lots of other stuff if you like. I use spakpeople. It’s free and you can even input your own ingredients.

I'm thanking you again for this web site. I am finding some great recipes on it or at least I hope they are great because they sound really good. I hope others will try this site out too.

Thanks Kirla. I will go and save that web site. I have to find some of my favorite recipes and modify them and then use that site. I have been having some bad cravings for cake and cookies which is not always a good thing but hoping I can make some of my own that will be better for me.
