The tests I had done on the pancreas showed esophogeal mucus and why you might ask??!! They did the "biopsy" of the fluids inside my STOMACH looking for esophogeal cancer!! And here I am thinking they biopsied my pancreas!! They do NOT want to put me on prednisone because it's not autoimmune pancreatitus. I have a stricture (narrowing of the duct) and they want to do another MRI. They want to compare it to the last one to see if it's getting better or worse. Then they told me even though I haven't drank alcohol on over 25 years that this could be the reason why! What they plan to do to FIX it is beyond me!! And another no win situation for Ellen! Still smilin' though!! :)

I'm glad no prednisone for you, Ellen!

I googled "pancreatic duct strictures" and got this list of hits. Some hits look good, others are questionable: http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&...

After revuiew if the first page this article is the most promising: http://www.surgery.usc.edu/divisions/tumor/pa...

Seems that if they choose to use a stent to open the duct, they can do it endoscopically.

Glad you're still smiling!

Praying your condition will be easily corrected, Ellen!

James
