Plan your meals-remember, you are not on a diet, this is a lifelong change in the way to eat.
Choose Snacks carefully- everything counts
Fill up on fiber-it decreases the effect of carbs on your system and makes you feel full longer
Get creative about cooking with veggies
Find exercise you enjoy-Do It consistently
Watch what you eat-portion control and journaling your food intake
Shop smart-watch your labels-pay attention to what you actually need
Get support- don't trust other people to tell you how you are doing-test your bg#'s and trust your gloucose readings
Educate yourself-the more you know the better you will understand

THANKYOU SO MUCH! your advice is so true. Everyone was telling me what I could not eat at the store, cause I would ask I did not know . Where can you to to find out what to eat when most of your food is taken away especially for that dreaded first month. It would have helped me alot.
