Since I was diagnosed in June of 2009 I have changed doctors 3 times. Am I looking for something that doesn't even exist anymore? It seems that we now have a great many "medical technicians" but not too many doctors. I don't know what to do. I know I need help but these people are just fine with just maintaining things as they are. When you were having a problem in the past, doctors used to try to find possible answers. Now they just look at me like "so, what's your point?". Every now and then I wonder what damage is being done to my organs. Previously, I had something wrong and despite seeing a doctor regularly I ended up in the ER. I was told that if I had waited till the morning to be seen, I would not have lived. Now with diabetes I wonder if I'm dieing and just don't know it.

I have just spent the last 3 hours on the Internet. Apparently no one in this shall town feel the need to rate doctors. As far as I cab tell we don't even have one endo here. I had to go to the pharmacy and asked them how they think one can find a good doctor and basically said "yea, it's really hard"

DC has good information. I like a Doctor that will take the time to talk to you. I don't like taking all medications just bec they tell you. We are the ones who will get the side effects and I know they don't know what will happen to us. Somtimes I wonder if they get a kickback from the drug companies?

check out: www.ratemds.com. It's like a better business bureau for doctors but the site is only as active as the people who read/write about experiences. We have rated our doctors fairly and hope others will do the same. The site is unbiased so let them have it with your good and bad experiences so others can learn from you. Who knows? You may find the right addition(s) to your medical team.

I know what you mean… Its sad that if you go they tell you off for not doing much but they hardly do anything and they get paid for not really doing anything… Life with this is sad and dangerous. I wish you luck…
