I weigh about 155lbs , & I'm 5'5" tall. I was taking AVANDIA, & my Dr. took me off and prescribed "GLIPIZIDE" 5MG, but it made me feel so bad, weak, a bit shaky, I saw my Dr. and he took my bloos sugar, plus I gave him the numbers of my b/sugar since taking the new prescrip. He explained that i was maintaining my b?sugar by exercising and eating properly, & that I didn't need to take medication for my Diabetes. I feel much better now, but am wondering If this Is a good thing. Comments please. Thanks

I have been off meds for 2 years now. Diet only. Started with an A1C of 14.1 and have been able to keep it below 6 ever since. Hoping to do it for a long time. Once you get used to the eating it gets easier. At least it did for me.

Good luck

Wow, that's great. Wish I was able to control my BG by diet and exercise.

thank you Bee, but I must say, makes me feel a lil' Insecure, being that I'm not on meds. I feel like I really MUST be careful, for sure now :-(
