Hi. My daughter was recently diagnosed with Type 1 on 10/29/10. She is now 8 yrs old. We have submerged ourselves in this new world. I am a Cruise Specialist and own a CruiseOne Franchise. My specialty is groups. Therefore, I have created a group cruise to raise funds for Diabetes. I am trying to get the word out to anyone that is interested. Please feel free to pass this along to anyone that has diabetes, has a child with diabetes or just wants to support the cause.

I have been getting a lot of questions about the cruise. I wanted to let everyone know that this is so dear to my heart now that the $50 per cabin is actually coming out of my commission!!! I hope to be able to give more. That will depend on how many people have go on the cruise.

It is a 7 night cruise from Baltimore. The ship stops in Port Canaveral, FL (Orlando area) then Nassau, Bahamas and then Royal Caribbean's private island, CocoCay, Bahamas. We are trying to work on some special fund raising events while at the islands. $50 from each cabin will go to JDRF. You can email me at rgerber@cruiseone.com small or you can call me at 866-568-0022.

This is a fantastic idea! A member here was thinking of having a cruise where we could meet each other, and this is a great way to do it. We have a year to save up. How cools is that!

I was looking at your site, and it is a great way to share, have fun and include the family. Is there going to be more information to follow or do we just call you? Also, how much of the $$ will be going to the fight? The cruise starts in Baltimore, but will there be any other port stops on the east coast or does it go straight to the Bahamas?
