It may be that the antibiotics wiped out some of your bodies natural defenses and/or the battle with the infection weakened your system. It might take a little while to get built back up. Seemed I had a few more problems after the major battle with MRSA last year. Sinus and colds took longer to clear up.

Yes, my husband went through a bout with some serious infections last year. The anti biotics did a number on his body. It took about 3 months to get him back and the doctor encouraged him to eat yogurt with LIVE and ACTIVE cultures. It has to have both. We found Choboni Yogurt to have both and have a great taste. They helped a lot and he also took a pro biotic supplement for a month. Here is the discussion that I posted on it, I hope it will help you. http://www.diabeticconnect.com/discussions/8013-live-and-active

Sometimes it seems to me that if I didn't have bad luck with this, I would have no luch at all.

Sorry you're going through this Dena.

You're fortunate in that the last time I had a bad kidney infection I was semi comatose on my bedroom floor for 5 or 6 days and then in the hospital for 2 weeks, most of that in ICU and I had to go on dialysis. At that time, I thought it would be for the rest of my life, but as it turned out, only for 10 mos.

I have a continual sinus condition which constantly gives me a post-nasal drip.
I always feel balance challenged, and sometimes the post nasal drip plugs my eustacian tubes, and I get peripheral vertigo, and if I hold my head wrong, I start having nausea and can vomit if I don't correct my head postion.

Yet I still believe LIFE IS GOOD! Even with all that and other things going on.

I pray your conditions will resolve quickly, Dena.

James
