My partner has type two diabetes but in the past has not paid a lot of attention to his diet. I was searching the web recently and found a site with a breakfast mixture that has brought his blood sugars way down. It is called the "Budwig Mixture". Low fat cottage cheese mixed with cold pressed flaxseed oil, then add berries and nuts to make it taste fantastic. You need to follow the mixing process on the site as that is really important. It really works. His sugars have never been so low since he was diagnosed.

I'm quite new to understanding diabetes. It is my partner who has it. He was diagnosed 20 years ago and has had problems getting his sugars down even with the highest dosage of metformin. The only time it has come down anywhere this low 6.5 (Australian measure) which is almost normal is after taking this Budwig mixture each day for breakfast. The answer seems to be in making the good fats water soluble by mixing them with a protein (cottage cheese). It has certainly worked for him . Have a look at the site. Thanks for you reply.

I read the article and it is interesting, but different.

I'm going to need to research this a bit more
