Hello everyone, just wanted to let all of you know how much i care for you and your responses, You know I have finally come to grips with my diabetes, it really has not stopped me from doing anything that I want to do, I might have to be a little more careful in my decisions but I am really having a wonderful life. I have learned to deal with the up and downs of the BS, it is really a challenge but something to look forward to. I am soo happy to be able to walk and breathe and yes smile at myself when I get upset. As long as I wake up each morning I can face whatever the problem may be or if not a problem whatever the circumstance will be. At least I can still enjoy this great and wonderful life and this diabetes thing will just have to learn that I am in control. It is a great to be alive, it could be worse—thank God it is not.

When asked how I am I tell them. As long as I can get up in the morning I will be okay. Thank you for your post

Hi June! I love your name. Its only been recently I came to grip with having diabetes. Your attitude is inspiring. I try to remind me frequently, "YES I CAN!" I like your "it could be worse—thank God it is not!" A dear friend once told me, "Wrinkles can touch the skin, but they can't touch soul." Somehow I think you WILL teach it (D) you are in control. You go girl! Hugs and smiles til we meet again.

Good for you for deciding that being positive and facing the challenges of Diabetes are worth while. I try to live by the saying, "All days are good. Some are just better than others." It sure beats being sad all the time.

Let me the first to congratulate you on coming to this point on your journey. You are an inspiration. What you are describing is what I call facing life on life's terms, and turning a challenge into an adventure, staying focused on how the cup is half full and not half empty.

Thanks for sharing this with us. It's all about support. Stay in touch!
