trying to get on the insulin pump

Can somebody tell me what i have to do to getr on the insulin pump ive been stuck on needles ever since i was born with diabetes id really would like to be put on the pump.
can you give me any ideas how i can get on the pump.

You will probably need a RX from your doctor. I also went with minimed and they did all the paperwork. They are GREAT. They will keep you up-to-date on the process so you won't have to wonder what's going on. Also, they are treat about any questions you may have. You can go to their web sight and check out their pumps. I have only good things to say about them. If you get your pump from them they will have a rep meet with you and get you started. You are never on your own. This is the only company I've ever dealt with on the pump so I can't speak about the others. Good luck with gettin a pump

I went through minimed and they got everything going and talked to insurance about it and yes I had to do a blood sugar log for 30 days

I love my pump its a life saver and realy helps keep my blood sugars reaql good

To get the pump is easy, you just have to have your doctor contact the pump manufacturer. However, getting insurance to pay for it might be another story. You still have to go through your doctor and you may have no problems but it notoriously takes a long time and a battle to get it covered. You will probably have to submit documented blood sugars (especially high and lows) and insulin injections.
