Found this:

Some evidence suggests that cinnamon might help people with the much more common type 2 diabetes (in which the pancreas still produces insulin, but cells become resistant to it), but not those with type 1. The first study suggesting that cinnamon might help control blood sugar (and cholesterol) was published in the December, 2003, issue of Diabetes Care. Done in Pakistan, it ran for only 40 days and included 60 patients with type 2 diabetes. It showed that one, three, or six grams of cinnamon daily, divided into two doses (that amounts to between a quarter of a teaspoon to one teaspoon a day), lowered fasting glucose by 18 to 29 percent, triglycerides by 23 to 30 percent, LDL cholesterol by 7 to 27 percent, and total cholesterol by 12 to 26 percent.

I'm a type 2. I started out with pills and didn't help much, was at 10 A1C for a long time. Now I am trying to get into the 6 which is flustrating me. I've had diabetes for about 5 years I think. I've been on insulin close to 2 years. I admire all the young people who take care of there diabetes. I freak out when I have a low. I know you young ones even handle the pump well. I give all of you credit.

I never really noticed a change to the good with Cinnamon pills. In fact one day I took with other vitamins and one got lodged in my windpipe and had a hard time dislodgeing it. To many vitamins at one time. Finally I coughed and the cinnamon broke and had a dry throat so had to drink water. Was a scary time for me. Now I don't take to many at one time anymore just one pill at a time.
