I do go through panic attacks and anxiety, especially when I am stressing out about something. I received on in August 2010 and thought I had to go to the ER because I couldn't breathe. I hate to keep saying this, cause I sound like a broken record, but exercising has really helped me with stressful situations and has help me be focus. So, I do still get them, but not quite as often.

When I feel panic-y, I just do some self-talk about what's going on with me and why I might be afraid. I ask myself what is the worst thing that can happen to me? So far in my 59 yrs I haven't had a full-blown panic attack.

But I realize that not everyone can do this.

I suspect that the panic attacks can be both cause and can caused by high BG#s. Kind of like being caught in a feedback loop.

I pray you get this under contol Dena, and that your new med works out for you. I'm sure it's no fun to feel out of control.

Hello. Yes I've had to deal with panic attacks for years UNTIL I got put on a new depression medication . Its called prestique. For me its been wonderful and I don't have panic attacks any more! The right medication for your body chemistry can make a huge difference! I tried several different meds before this one and they did not work but finally I got the correct medication for me. I completely stopped the panic attacks thank God! Everyone is different when it comes to medication and once you find the correct one for your body it will make a huge positive difference in your life! Don't give up there is hope! I haven't had a panic attack in a year! I was having severe panic attacks so bad that I actually passed out once due to my breathing. My attacks were totally debilatiting. I could hardly be in a crowd of people with out having a major attack! Now thanks to a depression medication that's all in the past! I wish you the best and do hope you also find the correct medication that will stop the attacks! Don't get a tranquliser that will only make it WORSE in the long run, but get a depression medication. It works miricles for panic attacks! I hope I've helped in some way. Take care and God bless!
