Yes, any severe emotion I feel definitely affects my blood sugars. It usually makes it on the high side. I hope whatever happens to you in life you are able to cope with it and take the measures you need to take to help your diabetes

Stress plays a major factor in all illnesses. Too much stress can cause shingles in some people. Try to take each day as it comes. Don't sweat the small stuff, it's useless letting someone steal your joy. I just lost a friend, and my blood pressure has been through the roof, trying to keep my other friend in the right frame of mine, they were very close, and they had been friends for many years. Emotions…can cause so many different reactions.

Absolutely any/all stress will tax your immune system. Illness ,sadness all lower your immune response…even arguing with someone will play with your bodies ability to defend itself. I am sorry for your loss. Much love and good health to you and yours.

I agree with everyone. My bs was higher when my husband died, and when my son died than ever before. It's true that almost any thing can drive those sugars up.
So sorry for ur loss, my friend.

Absolutely…no question about it. When my husband died, bg#'s were all over the chart…any stress, sickness, etc will drive my #'s…God Bless you …

For sure! Anytime I have a great deal of stress I see a rise in my numbers. Even if it's just over silly household things…so the worries and grief and stress of losing someone you love would definitely make my BS#'s crazy! I am sorry to hear that you've experienced a loss. My faith always helps a lot! I also try to re-invest myself in activities like Guardianstone suggested! Sometimes walking outside helps to clear the mind…especially in the spring! Hope "springs" eternal…and helps us get through the days better!

Yes Gwen Dear;
everytime. Our emotion can and do cause mental and physical problems. Try relaxation tapes, exercise, meditation, thi-chi, anything to change your mood. Hope this helps.
