I get this problem when I have low BG numbers. Then I over react to get my numbers up. Age, okay this can account to a fraction of the problem too. Or one just doesn't care to remember certain things (my dear wife uses this scenario all the time, then gets mad cause the age thing is happening to me and my once computer memory). I do like James explanation of this problem!

I am 55 and confused beyond belief…my boys are concerned that I have some kind of dementia…LOL but it is just my age the fact that my sugars drop in a heartbeat and of course the best excuse of all…I'm blonde, which I have used since birth.

Hi, I have had "confusions" also. I saw a health issue on FOX this a.m. regarding brain problems due to extremely low blood sugar - that it can cause early demetia! What else can go wrong, right? I'm also fighting high B.S. and thought I finally had it under control when I tested and it was 79!! That was great but the day before it got up to 266!! It's been higher, then it drops to 90 - 70. It may also explain the amount of sleep or no sleep I'm getting!! I'm not on insulin (YET) and taking 3 pills during the day to get mine under control.

I am right there with you Nightengale! I am blaming "the change of life" for messing with me in sooooo many ways. My blood sugars are doing some of the weirdest things - totally unpredictible and frustrating! I guess its hormones causing all the trouble? As for brain confusion, you probably know that sugar is fuel for the brain, when you are low the brain doesn't work right. At least for me, when I get really low I am very very confused. Sometimes it's scary!
