If you managed a business, you'd expect highs and lows, success and setbacks. Managing diabetes is no different-except there are no vacations from it. Having a postivie outlook has been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, boost immune system functioning and lowers heart disease.
Choose to fight- the choice is yours. We all have choices we can make each day. Our choices remain under our direct control. Visualize success- Taking care of diabetes requires a lot of determination, but aren't we worth it?
Think of yourself as a person with diabetes - not as a diabetic.

So true. I am a PWD and that means I am also a person willing to make decisions (PWMD) in how to control the diabetes.

I know. I was just trying to come up with a something else PWD could stand for and had to add at least one more letter. I think I first thought about Person With Decisionsor Person Willing to Decde but they didn't really make sense either. I am no good at making up acronyms. Yet I keep trying.

Maybe I could work as a code maker. My bad spelling and double vision coupled with horrible typing skills make some of my sentences look like a code. Windtalker Army of One, because no one else could decode it.

Hey Windtalker! (Loved that movie) Why not post all your codes so we can use them, too. Cut down on our own typos. I like your never give up spirit. I have to admit, PWD & PWMD threw me. I couldn't figure out what kind of MD as PWMD could be. I like the PWD approach much better than other things I've been called.
