Of course, you can fly with diabetes. For peace of mind, bring your own meal or snacks…tuck in a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread - string cheese-apple. Buy bottled water after you clear security. Carry your meds with you…
Book an aisle seat- you will be less cramped, more room for your legs and you will feel more energized than the middle or window seats.
Get up from your seat every hour and walk to the restroom-stretch those legs.
Use layovers in walking through the terminal keeping circulation moving through your body and Enjoy Your Flight!!

On a trip to Portland, OR, May 2010, I brought 4 bottles of water , snacks and CPAP machine through security. I had a letter from my doctor that said I am diabetic. No problem. You can go to the TSA website and ask specific questions. I believe the bottles had to be sealed.

Good info. I've flown many times with my own snacks. Good for the VERY long trips i make to and from Australia.
