Skipping meals or varying the amount of carbs you eat at different meals from day to day and the varying times of day you eat will make it harder for you to control blood sugar levels.
Staying consistent in meal times and amount of carbs makes a huge difference to a diabetic. Everyone's body will respond differently to the amount of carbs eaten and the space between meals and snacks, so it is essential that you find out how many carbs work for you throughout the day and stay on top of the time you should be eating. If you can set a pattern, you can gain control.

This is hard for me, i wake up starving sometimes and other times not hungry at all. I will skip breakfast sometimes and wait to eat till noon. Then no snacks or food till dinner which is 7:30, i just dont get hungry. Should i still snack in between? My sugars run 140-160 after meals.

Just my opinion Jose, but breakfast is the MOST important meal of the day.
You don't have to eat "traditional" breakfast foods, just eat something. IMO you should eat 6 small meals a day.

Waiting till noon to eat tends to have you over eating at that meal, which makes it tougher to control your Blood Glucose numbers ("BG#s") and you could get a roller coaster effect.

BG#s of 140 — 160 after meals is not terrible, but not the best either. Should be closer to 130 2 hrs after meals.

Blessings to you and yours Jose

I tend to bounce all over the place when it comes to time of meals this last year. For a short time my husband had a job that got him home after midnight. Then when it ended, his next temporary one had varying hrs. Now while we are looking for new jobs for us both we are random. I hope to get into a pattern again when I get a job and want to work overnight. I was more regular with my meals during the eight years on that schedule than I am now.

I need to start eating more frequent small meals, like the specailists in Ann Arbor said. Thanks for the reminder that I need to eat around the same time everyday, it has been harder for me. Please keep me in prayer. Thamk you.Amy
