I had to start a new one as the other one would not let me add to it most of the time. I guess it is just to popular here. So everyone join me here please now.

Got up at 8:40 this morning and BG level was 76 good start to the day.I took my Byetta 5mcg. Shot. I had a bowl of Rice Crispies and an apple. With a glass 4oz of milk extra. Checked out all emails online. Then at 11:35 BG level was 159 I took my shot of Humalog of 4units and ate an English muffin and sandwich. Also had one graham cracker, a small hand full of popcorn and a 48 oz glass of lemonade (Reg.). Refilled my glass of Lemonade with pink lemonade and ice about 1pm. At 4:39 BG level 150 Took Byetta 5mcg. And 4 units of Humalog. Ate Supper which was Beef Arm roast and Mac and cheese, White Homney and french-fries. At. 6:56 BG level 154 only raised 4 points for this meal. Not bad Took shot of 4units of Humalog. Only used 12 units of Humalog today and 10mcg. Of Byetta Still have 80 Units to go on the Lantus Will take that between 8 & 9 then I am done with shots for the day.
Walking: 5544 steps = 2.275 miles
Cleaning: picked up kitchen 2x and front room
Quilting: 1 hour
Total Calories burned: from walking 149.6
Water: 108 oz.
Sleep: Last nite just over 8 hours.

Happy Halloween Everyone!
tonight is the last of Oct. so here are my numbers for yesterday and today. They are all together as I have not been feeling so great.
Walking: 5738steps; 2.354 miles
Calories burned:154.9
Not very good for 2 days but I spent most of them in bed. Getting this done now and then going back to bed. I'm so drained and I don't know why. It's been a week since I got my shots for the Flu and Namonia have been drained since then. Yesterday I had an egg on toast and a cup of cocoa. soup for lunch and for supper I had slow cooker chicken and dumplings. I drank 4 glasses of Ice water and Lemonade 32oz.ec. I lost track of how much sleep I've had in the last 2 days. My BG levels have been @4:56 yesterday 98 and @ 4:15 239 I slept most of yesterday. Now today @5:40 114 ate breakfast bowl of cold cereal with 1/2 c. milk @8:49 BG 205 @12:53 BG 143 Had a cup of soup with crackers @7:29 BG 181
To drink I had 6 glasses of Ice Water and 2 glasses of Lemonade all were 32oz. I was between the bed and bathroom all day. Starting to feel better tonite than I have all week.LOL What ever it was it is going away fast.

Hey baby it's cold outside! 44 and dropping and for us thin blooded Floridians, well that is down right chilly! Lots of hot tea and coffee today. Not much water though. Not so good.

I will do my best to get it done as soon as I get it and post it on here. I found out that starting to use a Quilt Frame is not as easy as I thought it would be so am breaking it down to use for the small quilts first and then go from there and put it back to the King size after I get good on the smaller projects first. Am making wall hangings first and then lap quilts, I will make Gabby's as soon as I get it and then go from there on putting it together. I will make it like I did Stormy's on my old Machine and sew it toghther then tie this one off and send it back if not into larger sizes yet on Frame. LOL
I hope I can move onto the larger sizes after a month of working with the smaller ones. Will keep all posted on the Quilt Discussion at least once a week as to where I am at.

Gabby the only things I am doing right now is getting ready to leave on Sun. Morning to head for Alabama for 2 weeks and during the time I am down there I am going into Georgia one of those days to meet 2 of our Friends. One is Cool Grandma I am taking all of my Crocheting stuff to her as I no longer can hold a crochet hook like I use to do. My fingers swell and hurt when every I try it any more so am giving it all away. LOL
I use each month of the year to do all of my Christmas planing, I am gettinguse to the Quilting Frame and then starting on the quilts for the Grandkids I will do one each month and then give them tothem next year. I already have it all figured out which ones I am making for them and as they are all twin size I may get 2 done each month. that way all done in 5 months. Will Mail them out in Oct. to Alaska and give the rest to those living near me in Nov. for the parents to give on Christmas Day. I am not going to be home during the Holidays any more as it is now my time to enjoy life to the fullest and that means traveling where ever my heart desires.

Good Evening eveyone! How are you all doing tonight? I have been sick all day and spent most of the day in bed getting ready to head back there as soon as I am done here.
@3:51am BG 61
@5:00 111 took Byetta shot and then ate my breakfast Bowl of Special K and a Apple cut up.
@8:20 BG 162 Took shot of 6units Humalog
@12;20 BG 160 took shot of 6units of Humalog again and ate a bowl of Shrimp flavor soup in a cup with a cup of Hot Cocoa I drank 2/3 of it. and a grilled cheese.
@3:48BG 216 I had been in the rest room getting sick and runs both at same time. Not sure why BG went up. Took shot of 10units of Humalog. Went to bed and got back up at 3:30 It was after 7 when supper got done BG @7:16 was 95 I fixed an Arm roast with potatoes and onions, seasoned with salt, pepper, and rosemary with garlic. Tasted good and BG @ 8:41 not bad at 128 I took my shots of 2units Humalog and 80units of Lantus for the night.
Walking: 1473 (steps) 0.604 (miles)
Not so good today Sorry Everyone for not doing as well as usuall.Will talk to all tomorrow.

Hey Edie,

I am sorry to hear you are sick, but that seems to be what is going around a lot lately. Being sick makes your numbers go up sometimes, so it could be that. Or it is just reacting to you having a good A1C, and it wants to mess with your head.
Get a lot of rest, drink gingerale and get better.

Good Evening everyone. How are we all doing tonite. I am feeling alittle sick. My stomach has been upset this evening for some reason. Well lets not get sidetracked as to why I came here tonite first things first. LOL
@5:05 am BG was 110 I had my Byetta shot and waited till 6 to eat breakfast which was a bowl of Cherrios and a half of a banana with 1/2 cup milk and 2 tsp. of splenda , a english muffin and a cup of Hot Cocoa. for lunch I ate 2 sandwiches one was a homemade sandwich spread with bologna,dill pickle, onion and Mircle Whip. I added a slice of tomato to it. and for the 2nd one I had just a slice of Tomato on the bread with a glass of C.F.D.pepsi 32oz. @ 12:12 BG was 121 I took my humalog 2units shot and then played on my computer for awhile.
@4:00 I took my last Byetta shot for the day and ate a cup of Raymon Noodle soup shrimp flavor and a cup of Hot Cocoa @7:12 BG was 181 I took my last shot of Humalog for the day which was 8units. then at 8:00 I took my last shot of Lantus 80units.
Evening snack was a Fudge swirl 2 scoops in an Icecream cone (icecream) It made me about half sick and I threw up so no more Icecream for awhile. LOL I had not had any for almost a month guess I can't have any for awhile longer but that is ok. I like my snack crackers and pickle Bologna or graham crackers better. LOL

Pepsi: 32oz.

It was so cool this morning, even the dogs didn't wake me up for breakfast. I love it this way. Tonight we are having 15 degrees below normal for October and tomrrow we expect frost. That is something we don't usually see until December or January...brrrr. Better get the coffee on early tomorrow.

Well I got a call from the Drs.Office today and they said I am finally below 7 for my A1C. I will pick up a copy of my lab test results tomorrow and post them tomorrow nite for all after I post on here.

Now for todays numbers. I feel really good about them today.
@4:58am BG was 107 @7:13 BG was 83 took shot of byetta and ate a bowl of cherrios with a banana in it.
I had a sandwich spread sandwich for lunch and a glass of c.f.d.pepsi.@2:28 BG was 145 took my shot of 4units of Humalog.
For supper I took my shot of byetta and had chicken tenderloins and green beans with 4cheese pasta twists and the rest of my pepsi. @7:11 BG was 149 took my shot of humalog 4units again. and then @8 I took my shot of Lantus 80units for bedtime.
I also had a small bowl of popcorn.
Will talk to all tomorrow again.

I felt a little more in control today. My list of things that work and don't is going to help me I think. I started high, but had a better day than I have had for a while. Now if I can just keep the stress away, i will do great! LOL

I think I did alright for today. @6:12am BG level was 88 Took my Byetta 5mcg.shot and I had an english muffin and a fried egg on it. Had a cup of Hot Cocoa also for breakfast. @ 4:53 BG was 139 I took 2units of Humalog and 5Mcg. shot of Byetta then ate 1 pork chop, mac and cheese and peas for supper and had 2 glasses of Lemonade today also. Both were 32oz. @7:58 BG was 102 Took last shot of Lantus 80units for the day.My pm snack was 3 cinnamon graham crackers.
Liquid to drink:72oz.
Sleep last nite: 8 1/2 hours for a change. felt good earlier now am real tired. I'm going to bed early again tonite and see what happens tomorrow.

Lets get this done before any more trouble. On Friday the 24th @4:30 BG level was 82 and didn't eat till after 11:00am Had a Fasting Dr. App. @11:45BG was 65 ate a baggie of Grapes 32oz.C.F.D. Pepsi and a Meat sandwich with Miracle Whip and cheese @5:06pm BG 107 Had Tuna Noodle Casserole finished the Pepsi from lunch and 24oz. water. @9:08 BG level 184 Had shots and meds for the day had Pickle bologna and snack crackers for Bedtime snack.

Yesterday Oct. 25, Happy Birthday Bill. BG levels @6:02am 90 Breakfast was a bowl of Special K with 1/2 cup of milk and a baggie of mixed grapes plus 1/2 of a cinnamon roll with frosting (can't eat these unless home made from now on to sweet for me) LOL I'm sweet enough.
@11:32 BG 191 took shot for it and ate some of my grapes started Lunch and the power went out no cooking till it comes back on. I got bored no Elec. no sewing, computer gone,hard to read rainy outside and cloud cover made it hard to read.

Power came back on finished lunch intime for supper ate snack crackeres and cheese puffs while bored.@5:28 BG 145 not bad for snacking all afternoon. I eat when I get worried or bored. Bad habit need to break.
Supper Hambruger and Fries with cream corn. Cup of Hot Cocoa to warm up from the inside out. Ate one Hamburger and 5fries with three bites of cream corn. Not to hungry now.
7:48 BG 164 Took last shots for the day.

Not bad for a bad weather day and power outage could have been better. We had a little rain got chilled inside and didn't go out when it cleared up. I was lazy yesterday. Will do better today. Have so far. Will talk more later.

Did you guys have a storm? Power outages are hard to deal with because so much stuff that can be eaten cold is processed. Bad for my levels.

My husband and I were out today, getting center pieces made and preparing what we can for a beautiful day tomorrow. It is almost like my own son getting married, he's such a great kid.

Your doing real good Gabby, I wish my numbers would come down like yours is with out meds. I am loseing weight the Dr. said yesterday but won't tell me how much yet. He said when I hit the 20 pound mark he will tell me then. LOL
According to our scale at home I'm down 12 pounds. Yeah. I was at 265 now down to 253 that is 12 pounds I got 8 more to go then I can buy me a new outfit. I get one new outfit with every 20# gone and when I hit 150# again I get a new Wardrobe completely so everything will fit like new. LOL I am buying things that will be easy to take in so I can continue to wear them later. LOL

Oh,, the wedding was beautiful! I am whipped though. Working one is a lot harder than just showing up. But well worth it for such a special young man. Even my husband cired...but he really is a big softy.

I ate horrible today. On the go, no time is no excuse. But I did really yucky.

Here are my numbers for Oct. 23,2008
@8:19am BG level was 60 I took my 5mcg Byetta and had a glass of milk and a baggie of grapes and was on the go till 10:00 got home and found there was still a small helping of taco salad I thought they had ate it all yesterday so I ate 1/2 of it and had 10 grapes for dessert with a 12oz. can of C.D.Pepsi then @ 5:32 BG levle was 90 again took 5mcg of Byetta ate supper by 6 had a sm. helping of mashed potatoes with hamburger gravy and corn had 6 sm. choc. covered shortbread cookies. and a 32oz. glass of Icewater. @7:44 BG level was 146 took 4units of Humalog and @8:00 BG was 145 and took last shot of the day 80units of Lantus. Have a Drs. App. at 8:00 so am truning in early tonite. Will let you know how it goes when I get home afterwards.

What Pattern are you thinking about, I have several and if you are thinking about more than one I can make some samples of them and post for you to see what they look like and then you pick the one you like best or two that way it can be a reversable one. I will make sure that I have it or both. So that I can get started when your material gets here I want to stay busy and am learning how to use a Quilting Frame with the Machine. Thanks Gabby

I did a little better today than yesterday. But here goes.@5:35 am BG 128 Took 2units of Humalog and 5mcg.of Byetta Had a bowl of Cherrios and 10 grapes with a 1/2 cup of milk. @1:20BG level 174 That was after Lunch I had Taco Salad and this time I put on extra Salsa and some sour cream 12oz.can of pepsi (caffine Free Diet) @3:19 BG level 110 we finished off the Taco salad for supper and @8:02 BG level 168 had 4units of Humalog and My 80units of Lantus that way I'm not late tonite taking it.
Steps from 12:30 on when I put the counter on 3386
calories:91.4 this afternoon not to good but better than I have been doing.

Here are my numbers for Tues. Oct. 21st I was so busy getting my computer/sewing room changed around to get in and out without crawling That I didn't take as good care of my self as I usually do. Sorry for the bad day.
@4:33 am BG level was 81 then @ 9:04 am it was 68 I ate taco salad for breakfast and lunch then I had BBQ beef and fried potaotes and onions with Green Beans no dessert tonite. Had Graham Crackers around 10 and went to bed

It took me over 3 hours to get the room done but Quilting Frame and Machine on front wall across the room from the door. and my Desk is on Wall by door in corner by closet It gives me a cubicule for working on the computer but set up Machine and started to use it today and broke the needle already.
Will post todays numbers tonite to get back on track. As I have not put on my counter yet today the numbers will be off tonite. LOL

Take the day off regroup and then start fresh in the morning. If your still having trouble getting the numbers down then try different things and log what is working and what is not. That may help you more to get those numbers down. I have read the firestorm this morning and Got very upset with the whole thing. I come here to help and get help not to get into fights with people so I'll stay out of them in the future and just get what I need to get me better and control this blasted Disease the best I can, and stress don't help me at all with this crap.LOL

I ate 2 slices of wheat toast with one egg and an Italian sausage on them.
for lunch I ate a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich with a beef and bean burritto
for supper I ate Taco Salad
to drink today I had a 32oz. glass of ice water and a 20oz. bottle of Diet Pepsi.
That is it for tonite. Have a good nite will talk to yas tomorrow if I get done with my new machine learning about it and starting to use it.

Oh, the cool weather is here! I love it! I wait all year for this and it is always worth it. Autumn....mmmmm wonderful.

Before Breakfast: 146 (another record!)

I might try oatmeal again another day, but I was bummed about todays reading. I think I have to cut my portion on it. I would like to eat it, there are so many good things it can do for me.

How large is your helping of Oatmeal. I find if I get the sengal servings that I can mix in my bowl with different flavors my numbers don't go up like it does for the Reg. Oatmeal. Try it that way and see what it does for you.

I had just over a cup of oatmeal made with water, not milk. That is why I like my veggies, I can have a lot and it fills me up. And for oatmeal to work the way it needs to on cholerstorl, you are supposed to have 2 servings (about a cup). I will try again soon and work around it a bit.

For Breakfast I had a bowl of Special K cereal and for my morning snack I had 5 snack crackers and 10 slices of pickled bologna that is how many slices I got off the chunk I cut off from the jar.
I put the meat for Supper in the sink with cold water to thaw and went to the store and got the groceries I wanted for this week. Now I have Ramen Soup for lunces and I also picked up 2 Boxes of Graham Crackers to switch between with red and white grapes also. Then for Sunday Supper I fixed the Beef steak and cut a small piece off for me and the mashed potatoes small helping and lots of Callord Greens. They hit the spot tonite. Were having Taco Salad tomorrow nite. I am getting hungry for this so will make it. Bill and Gerry wants a large one made. Bill will be carrying some to work on Tues and Weds. If there is any left he will also get it for Thurs. and Fri. That way I'm not tempted to eat it everyday till gone. LOL I'm going to make it spicy that way my numbers stay low after eating it. Lots of Vegs. init also I have grabed the Dole Veg. salad fixings that way more of a veg. salad with the meat and refried beans added to it. Next week I'm making Cajun Chicken and Egg Rolls for Supper 2 nites. I might fix Cajun Meatloaf for Sat.or Sun. next weekend.

I can't bring myself to do collard greens. How do you fix them? I know they and Kale are good for me, but I just can't do the cooked with vinegar thing...I love raw spinach, but not cooked. Do you do something special with it?

No I just opened the can and put in the microwave and heated them up for 2 mins. and then ate them just like that. LOL It took some getting use to but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I have started eating alot more green leafy Vegs. than I use to. I like Mixed Vegs. salad I cut up an onion into a can of Mixed Vegs. and add alittle Miricule Whip that is my salad for Supper some times. LOL

Cook them with a ham hock and make sure to remove the spine of the leaf. It will never get soft enough. Kind of like cooking beans.

I'll try it with ham hock thanks for the suggestion. The can I used for supper last nite was nothing like spinach it held its texture and was not slimy I thought it tasted good. I had a larger than normal helping cause it did look so good LOL Bill and Gerry had to share the rest as I got my dish first. I am using a smaller plate now and Iam getting satisfied on less kinda funny because with the dinner plate I always seemed hungry even after eatting.

I am so tired tonite I'm just going to give it to you straight and then go on to bed.
@8:20am BG level 69 went out to Breakfast with Bill and 2 of our Grandchildren I had the Ugaldiy's skillet Vegs. with scrambled eggs ontop. 2 slices of wheat toast hot cocoa 2 cups.
@11:27 BG level was 131 not bad for the large Breakfast I had.
2units of Humalog and one beef and bean burrito for lunch then @7:32 BG level was 236 I took 12units of Humalog and then my 80units of Lantus. We put in the last new door today and it is kinda of sticking so he is going to pull it out tomorrow morning and try it again that is why we had pizza and breadsticks for supper. I also had a 20oz bottle of Caffine free diet pepsi with my supper.

Today was a busy one. Did a whole lot of hoofin' around and got a new bunch of fishies for the fish tank. Now i can sit for hours and watch that thing...very relaxing. Just what I need right now, to be sure. I did good until dinner today, but I will be ready for a great day tomorrow. Cold front coming thru, snuggles are in order. Yeah!! at least for one or two days.

I got so disgusted on my after dinner reading I am headed for bed. It takes so little to get us out of kilter. I see why we MUST be dilegent in what we eat. Many of you don't see it as much as I do. No meds to help in the fight. I have only my mouth to keep me from spiking and I didn't do a very good job tonight. Bad combination I guess, fruit, beets and a breadstick.

Gabby we can't keep it down all the time. but you are doing your best and that is what counts here, remember don't beat yourself up we can do that for you.LOL But all things considered you are getting those numbers down and it might not be what your eating it could be stress that you don't even know is there doing this to you. Go with the flow and relax more it will be ok in the long run. Your doing great and so keep up the good work.

Now I have just gotten so used to seeing a 1 infront of the numbers instead of a 2 that I get a little freaky at a 240. I have not seen that for a few weeks. Maybe I need to do what I did last night with going to bed early and waking up late...I had a wonderful 149 this morning. I guess because I am so close, I just want to rush to the goal. When I was in the upper 200's it still seemed so far away.

You are doing so well. Don't beat yourself up for a 200 sugar. I keep my BG in control and everynow and then a 300 might pop in there. I get my self sick over it. The I stress myself up and it take me sometimes the whole day to get it down. You said your tummy was hurting and that might of had something to do with it. Relax…Deep breath …Do what you've been doing…and have a nice day today and don't worry. That causes stress and stress causes spikes in BG Debe

Stress is a huge factor I am sure. I am always so Happy-go-lucky in life, but some of that has faded with all the things going on. I know I just have to be prepared, then my level of stress will drop.

Yep, that tummy issue was on and off for over a week, what a bummer. I think it was some pumpkin seeds I purchased. That was the last time I had trouble, so they got thrown out...so far so good since then. Whew!

It is true, once I get a number I don't like, it seems to take forever to work thru it. At least before it was days, now I think I have it down to at least 24 hours.

Gabby your doing so well don't worry about it so much. I know that eatting Pizza and breadsticks send mine upand over to the high side but yesterday we had that for Supper and I am paying for it today because I got the kind I wanted and not what Bill said to get. I got one loaded with fresh Vegs. and the meats we both like. I had 2 slices of Pizza and left 6 for Bill and Gerry then I had 3 breadsticks without sauce this time. I think I had a bug that was going around because now I am starting to feel better and have more energy than I had a week or even a month ago. The restroom has become my best friend today LOL

My ambrosia is made with all the wrong stuff. Coconut, bananas, grapes, pineapple, cool whip and of course the mini marshmallows. I usually skip it and the bread sticks, but I was feeling brave last night...oh, wait. No that was stupid. LOL

Yeah, and I just tested after my oatmeal...up 90 points! not good. I will have to experiment with it some more. Change portion sizes, add more nuts or something to slow down those carbs.

Gabby, Your allowed a treat here and there. The ambrosia okay once in a while. Just don't eat it everyday. I have a treat 1x a week. It took me a while to calulate in in my plans. It a trail and experient you have to work with. Do not allow let a treat here and there scare you. Once you figure how your body excepts them, you are going to do fine. It is scarey at first. For you everything your experiment with is so amazing to me. I love a challenge. You are doing this without medicine and I am very proud of your prognosis. I also enjoy Edie and you doing this, I think the two of youns are teaching allot of friends on this site. You go girls…

Ok first things first, My son found the paper I had wrote on day before yesterday so here are my Stats for that day;

was suppose to be choc.shake but was really Vanilla icecream with choc. syrup stirred in at McDonalds Med size cracked cup so when I got home I poured it into a 32oz. cup that Ithought I poured out the rest of water before Ileft home I was wrong. Melted faster and didn't taste right so I poured it out. I had drank half before pouring into other cup so I had probbolly 16oz of it.
Breakfast was 2 slices of wheat toast and a bowl of Special K with 1/2c. milk
Lunch was McDonalds fish sandwich and fries w/o salt and shake (not)
Supper was 2 cups of chili Mac and 12oz rootbeer.

Now for Fri. Oct.17th Happy Birthday to my Grandson Tanner who turned 5 today.
Breakfast; was 2 slices of toast with Peanutbutter and Liter Pepsi that I took on the road with me while Gerry was Job Hunting and I was driving.@ 11:15 BG level was 90 Lunch was 7 slices of pickle bologna with 7 snack crackers and Cheese puffs in a baggie, some of my pepsi Had all of my Meds on time as needed today Supper; We had hotdogs with baked Fries and peas and carrots Made a Cake but didn't eat any yet tonight.@7:42 BG was 267 Took humalog 16units and then @ 8:00 took Latus 80units. Night Snack 2 Graham Crackers and 12pz glass of ice water.

I think I got over the 200 hump and am going on the way down. I have adjusted a couple of things and it seems to be working. Every day I get all my numbers under 200 I rejoice. Now my goal will be soon to keep them under 170. I keep plugging....it takes forever it seems, but once I start leveling out where I want, I will be really paying attention to what is working and fine tune that.

I get mine from Save A Lot it comes in Jars one is snack bologna and the other is a Gal. Jar with pickled Ring Bologna. I am from Michigan and had to ask that the store near me here in Indiana get it for me. There are so many people down here eatting it now that sometimes I have trouble getting it.LOL

If you can't find it near you just put Ring Bologna in a Jar with White Vinegar and Water like you would cucumbers and onions. I fix both this way sometimes esspecially when I don't have the money to buy it. LOL
