How will the disaster in Japan affect the supply of test strips?

Besides the ongoing tragedy for the people of Japan, lack of food, water, clothing, shelter, and medications that make me overwhelmed when I consider how I would cope in their situation, yesterday my testing supplies arrived and I really noticed on the words made in Japan on the test strip container. Checking my other type of meter it's strips are from Japan also.
I feel a little selfish being concerned over this. I understand some of the issues the people of Japan are facing. But not to the extreme. We are living week to week, but are only not homeless due to the kindness of my sister and her husband. If just the added stress of having lost people I knew or them also being without their homes I don't know how I would handle it. And there are all the other factors of food, clothing etc. But here I am wondering about test strips.
Do other countries supply them. Then also, what about other medical supplies. Will there be an affect on our medical supply chain that crosses the ocean much slower than the tsunami traveled across the same waters?
