Different Glucose readings from different hands???
Does or has anyone else ever had a difference in their readings when they test on both hands? My machine calibates itself and is as you would say "controlled", but the other night I tested on my left hand, then on my right, and there was quite a difference! 123 on the left,…167 on the right! (And I had just washed my hands) Just curious…Thanks!

I heard that if you don't wash your hands or use alcohol prep pads before testing that anything that has any type of sugar substance in it, perfumes, food, lotions, things like that could have an effect on your sugars as well. I use prep pads cause I'm afraid that if I use soap it'll mess up my readings.
Well, I dont always wash my hands, but when I did this test I did. Ive been getting more and more in the habit of doing it though:)
I am a bit puzzled by this. Don't know what to think or say about that.
The only reason I could think is the heart is on your left, and your left arm/fingers gets the blood just a bit sooner than the right. But that's only a guess as to why that might happen.
Hmmm…perhaps. I never even thought of that! Maybe my endo will have an answer! Shoot…for all the money they make,..and all the money we pay them…they should have ALLLL THE ANSWERS!!! :)
The more I read, the more I am sure no one has ALL the answers, except God, of course. But He, like a good Father, is letting us figure it out ourselves.
