Hi all, I have been working very hard for the past 2 months on getting the BS under control. I was put on insulin Lantus and Humalog at meals if needed. Well, I lost 12 lbs in those 2 mos. My A1C went down from 8.0 to 7.0. I was hoping for a little lower, but I only worked on it for two of the 3 months. I also have been exercising 5-6 hours per week. (All of this behavior is NOT me) My doctor was so pleased with my results and how hard I worked. He adjusted the meds a bit and I'm on my next 3 month test. Guess it never ends. I feel better than I have in years. I have had numerous medical problems so the diabetes doesn't seem like that big of a deal-they are things I can do about it. It's taken quite a bit to finally wake me up to really taking care of myself with diet & exercise. I encourage those who are having a little snit about this diesase to make it a short one and get back in control ASAP. Please don't wait until the damage is irreversible. One day at a time for me. Today is a good day. Elaine

Great Job! I soooo agree with you about how at least this disease is something we can treat and control. No one said it would be easy, but there are definetly people out there worse off than us :)

Hi! I'm also on lantus and humulinR with meals. Its funny but I have more enegery and feel so much better also! Before insulin I had zero enegery and felt so terriable! Now my blood sugar is close to perfect and I feel great! Many people are afraid of insulin and think of it as a punishment of sorts. I know its just the opposite! Insulin brought me back to life so to speak! I'm so glad to hear your success story! Insulin has helped so many people ! I'm so glad you are doing well! Take care keep up the good work and God bless!
