Just so everyone in the diabetes world knows, Medtronic has recently decided to "let go, all spokespeople" That includes myself Scott Dunton, Chris Jarvis and Sean Busby. For unknown reasons we have all been dropped. Does it make sense to anyone that they let us all go.
By doing this what have they started, and how are we looking at it. Let me tell you.

You know how books have the little paragraph on the back. well think of this paragraph describing a movie instead.

3 athletes traveling the globe excelling in sports and sharing experiences with a challenging disease. All 3 once backed by the biggest company in diabetes now on their own and continueing on check out this video when it comes out to see what these three young athletes are doing and see them push the limits of life and the so called limitations of diabetes…

What do you guys think.

Scott so sorry to hear that, don't understand it, unless it was for economic reasons on their part. With all the money diabetes is generating for pharma companies, it is hard to believe that these companies are watching their budgets so closely - but they are when it comes to public relations - that is what is going first. Keep on doing the great things you are doing and the rest will fall into place. You are a great inspiration to the diabetes community!

Hi Scott,

I am sorry to hear this news. You and Chris are great examples to other type 1 diabetics and I hope you continue your personal efforts to inspire others. It would be interesting to find out Medtronics reasons but I am guessing it really has nothing to do with you or Chris Jarvis since I know both of you, have interviewed both of you on my radio show and know you are both fine young men who have overcome an obstacle that would have stopped others.

In these uncertain economic times lots of companies are havening to cut back. Higher fuel cost are having unexpected ripple effects through the entire economy.

I hope you will continue to inspire others through this forum provided by Alliance Health.

Very sorry to hear Scott. John is correct, seems everywhere people in a bit of an "uproar" of sorts over the state of the economy, which is in Very bad shape.

Best to you three! Go get 'em and prove that we T1s can do it on our own! (but we still need that life sustaining medication…) ;-)

Scott, that's too bad. Guess everybody's a little jumpy with the state of the economy.

Best of luck to you and Chris and Sean.
