Welcome to Friday! I don't know how things are wherever you are, but here at the DC headquarters, the sun is out, the birds are singing, and the promise of warmer days seems to be everywhere. And of course, that got me thinking about how so many things outside of our control can affect our blood sugars.

Perhaps you find it easier to manage diabetes in the Spring and Summer. Or perhaps, the heat causes you problems. Think about what your experience has been and complete this week's Fill in the Blank Friday:

Warm weather and diabetes go together like …

Warm weather is okay for me...it's the HOT weather that will bump me up. In the summer I tend to run about 30 points higher on average. Even though I tend to be more active.

You and I must be made from the same mold "MsANN". I do a lot better in the cold also. As a matter of fact, I wear t-shirts and shorts all year round and Missouri can have some really bad winters. The heats wears me down so to speak and just causes me a "fit" during the summer. It even gets too hot to ride my motorcycle since it is like riding into a blast furnace.

Like an Ice Cold Diet Pepsi and all you can eat Steamed Crabs. I can't wait for steamed crabs, fried crabs and gravy and family and friends to share it with.

For me warm weather and my diabetes go together like a fish in water. I could live in it, constantly. I have arthritis as well so warmer weather is for me. If it gets to hot there's is always an air conditioner in my room. Warm weather does not affect my diabetes at all. I love it and surely will welcome it this year. It's been a long winter.

Thank God Winter is over. I like the warm weather, get outdoors more. This was a tough winter, with all the snow and ice. Much more sedentary this year. Can't wait to get outdoors, do some boating and fishing.

For me it is … Warm weather and my diabetes go together like, Spring and flowers, hamburger and fries, bacon and eggs, two peas in a pod. I function so much better in warmer weather.

Warm weather and my diabetes get along well. It's easier to be active and I don't get as hungry. However, if it rises just a few degrees warmer and i's like oil and water. Sleep becomes difficult, the appetite decreases and activity causes more problems..

I am doing so well on my V GO pump that the warm weather has really not played a part so far with my Diabetes. I pray that it will affect me.

Water and Oil. Plus, I've suffered one heat stroke and 2 incidents of heat exhaustion, which makes heat an enemy.
