Has anyone tried microcirulation therapy for wound healing?
Do you think by introducing CO2, a natural vasodilator, enhances wound healing to diabetic type 2 patients? I just want to know if this type of treatment. like deoxyhemoglobin vasodilator does is effective or what not. I am still open to any other non-invasive treatment recommendation in...

Diabetic NLD Treatments?
Has anyone found anything that makes NLD better? I am desperate at this point. When I first developed NLD I was uncontrolled and it started small at first and only in two places. Since then I am on the Omnipod and have brought my A1C down from 16 to 12 to 8.6 (my personal best!). I am managing...

Need ideas to bring down sugar without insulin
Today I ate what might be healthy for a regular person, but was a disaster for me: 1c fiber cereal w/1c milk for breakfast; wheat toast w/jam, yogurt, milk for lunch. Two 60 carb meals. I was sick all afternoon. My doctor doesn't have me on insulin. I try not to mess up, but when I do, my only...

Do You W.A.G. Through Diabetes Care?
At first, I thought this article was going to be about how we let diabetes wag us instead of us wagging diabetes, but instead I got a new term and perspective on it. W=wild A=ass G=guess Yep, and I know I have done that. Thinking or reading something, but not researching it more...

Why am I losing weight?
I never thought I would ask this.... Seriously. For decades, I tried unsuccessfully to lose weight. I have been trying to eat better and exercise. That said, I have been losing weight faster than I would expect. 1,850 to 2,000 calories a day at 5 foot 2 is not exactly rocking it. I am starting to...

Where is Joyce? trying to find a certain one (I used to be on here and back)
I was Tabby9146 on here a few years, and now I am back. Been gone at least a couple years or more now. She was one of the ones I always liked her posts. I no longer have that old email addy, so I had to make a new name on here with my new one. It's good to be back. I hope she is still on here.

Maybe a hypo - lingering effects?
I'm not sure but I may have had a hypo event last weekend. I was pretty stupid. On Friday night I ate snacky stuff and two glasses of wine instead of dinner, with finally something a little more substantial at 10 pm, then took my metformin ER at 10:30 pm and went to bed. When I got up in the...

Type 1 Diabetes, Then and Now
A fellow Joslin Medalist recently made a post in 'The Joslin Medalist' group page. He wanted to know how we felt about the differences from when we were diagnosed so long ago compared to the present day, and how fortunate we feel that we are in the 21'st century. I started writing a very long...
