December 17, 2008 3:49 AM I haven't read this book due to the fact that I am well past the first year mark. I am reviewing it because I just bought it for a friend newly diagnosed. I did look through it and found it contained information that I wish I had known my first year. It is a very good book according to content. ![]() |

June 25, 2008 9:34 AM THIS IS A GREAT BOOK WHICH I WISH I HAD 4 YEARS AGO. i HAD BEEN TOLD I WAS BORDER--LINE FOR YEARS. ONCE I MOVED BACK HERE TO MELBOURNE I WENT TO THE DOCTOR FOR A ROUTINE AND MY DOCTOR PUT ME ON MEDICATION. AT THAT TIME I WAS 145. DIABETES RAN IN MY IMMEDIATE FAMILY. I GUEST I HOPED IT WOULD GO AWAY. IT GOT WORST CAUSE I JUST SIMPLY DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION. I LOST A GREAT GRANDMA TO THIS MONSTER AND EVERY ONE ON MY MOTHER SIDE HAS IT BUT ONE AUNT. ITS NEVER TO LATE TO READ. |

March 13, 2008 6:43 AM Great primer for those who are newly diagnosed. It helps explain a lot about what most people don't know about being Type II. ![]() |
