I don't know if I would reccomend this book for the average woman. NOT because it's full of science-speak (and it is!), but becuase it is scary and upsetting!

It's certainly a complete reference guide for physicians managing patients with diabetes in pregnancy, but as a T1 woman thinking about becoming pregant, this book upset and overwhelmed me so much- I had nightmares. Thinking about all the things that could go wrong got me very depressed and discouraged. I don't want to be ignorant on the subject of complications related to my future diabetic pregnancy, but I'm just not sure I wanted to know EVERYTHING.

It's difficult, becuase I read one publication from the ADA on T1 pregnancy that was TOO over-simplified, and that's why I went looking for something more detailed.
