This book ties into Dr. Fuhrman's "Eat Right" system. It has a few recipes and nutritional ranking for a number of foods. The basic concept is to eat foods that are nutritionally dense but calorically sparse. At first glance, Dr. Fuhrman's program appears to come closer to CRON (Caloric Reduction for Optimal Nutrition) than to glycemic control, and this book does not give any information on how ANDI (Aggregate Nutrition Density Index) scores are created. (The information should be in Dr. Fuhrman's two-part book set, Eat For Health). This much said, most higher ANDI foods are vegetables, and both caloric reduction and nutrient density ccan be useful in maintaining acceptable blood glucose levels.
