Guilty as charged. I have to add another very bad habit: smoking. I've been at it for more than 40 years and patches, pills, classes, and hypnotherapists have failed. While not a doctor or nurse, I have extensive medical training but even the knowledge of what this is doing to me fails as a deterrent. The only plus side I can see is that the smoking does curb my appetite to an extent. However, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I have only been diagnosed for the last three years as a type 2 diabetic and my daughter took it harder than I did. I was actually expecting to be diagnosed sooner or later since it runs very strongly. My sister was diagnosed 6 years ago and she is two years younger than I am. It's good to know that I'm not the only one with a few weaknesses. Mine is Nachos which is ok as long as I allow for it in my carb count. For those who like Snickers, I spent 20 years packaging them and doing quality control on the bars at least once a month and of course one of the tests we had to do was Taste them. I don't even think about eating them since I retired in 2001. It is so nice to know that I'm not in this alone.
