Sugar fingers

I checked my BG's 2 hours after eating a salad and chicken tenders210!!! Not possible...Ding Dong!!! Can you think of anything I could have done to cause a high BG??First thought- maybe I had too much salad dressing, nope ruled out.Se…

If the chicken fingers were breaded, that would be it.

If you use an alcohol pad and don't wait for the alcohol to dry on your fingers that can change the results too.

I too was testing high even after eating heathly. No mater what I ate I was alway tested high. I then went to a new endo and found that the meds I was taking just weren't doing their job anymore so he put me on novlog 70/30. Since then my sugars have been great (for a diabetic)

Two other possibilites.

#1 Did you wash your hands? I once registered 240 because I had a bit of cheesecake on my fingers (I know I know ..what was cheesecake doing on my fingers?)
...Washed my hands and calmed my heart... 149.

#2 I was told that not enough sample on the strip can cause a false high.
